How To Deal With Negative People!

In the 🌎 world we live in there are three types of people. There are the positive no matter what happens type, the Negative Nancys that view the horrible in everything, and the ones in between that balance both.  With positive people , we want to open our mind to think 💭 like them. Even when going through a tornado of situations, being able to find the silver lining is a characteristic we all want to endure. It keeps our state of mind in a calm and positive place. Now note 📝 there is a negative person around every corner. So how do we deal with having to live on the same earth as these type of people without allowing ourselves be sucked into that type of energy?

It begins with understanding. We all come from different homes, cultures, and demographics. You can tell a lot about a person if you take the time out to understand. It is the biggest tool when dealing with a negative person. Don't misconstrue this with judging! Judging and understanding have two complete different meanings. Be very careful! Only two things that we are born to naturally do is to breathe and fear of falling every other emotion is something we learn. Negative people only think that way because they have yet to change their perspective and or were taught to think that way. Open your mind to know not everyone understand the power of keeping positive.
Now that we see understanding can help us deal let's review some ways to deal with characteristics of a Negative person.

1. The Verbal ;  Negative people complain a lot about their current situation whether it's school, work, or just even hanging out. They tend to pedal mud onto the work ethic or personal lives of others. Usually they don't use any positive words towards themselves or onto others. This comes from the thought process. If you keep your mind at a frequency level like "I can't", "impossible", and or "failure" and dont separate yourself from that then you attract negative situations that stick to you like a magnet. These people probably wake up that way so the best way to end the negative is to return the reply with something positive when directed towards you. If you deflect a bad comment like "you are doing this incorrectly" by a colleague the best thing to do is say Thank You and smile 😁! What negative response can come from that? When it comes to verbal negativity always respond in a positive way even if this person is starting to crawl under your skin. At that point ☝🏼 think of a happy thought like your pet, kids, family or friends to redirect your emotion into a happy state. Counting to 10 will also allow you to sit back from a situation and recollect. Remember there's a reason this person talks like this.

2. The physical ; Body language can tell you a lot about a person's character. If someone tends to roll there eyes 🙄, shrug 🤷🏼‍♀️ their shoulders and or use  "uhhhh" as an answer to everything that's someone you want to stay clear of. Now let's say that you can't. They have their working area next to yours or sit next to you in class, the best thing to do is crack a smile 😊! A smile is one of the most contagious actions. Think of a happy thought and just smile and use some words of encouragement. By doing this you can change someone's emotional state. It is scientifically proven that smiling and yawning are the most contagious actions. If you send a smile out you just might get one in return, even if it isn't immediately.

It is very important to stay positive in all situations and to keep yourself surrounded with like minded people. Don't allow yourself to engage in this behavior to end up becoming a negative Nancy. You breed what you sew. Allow yourself to be the outlet for a negative person and influence them into positivity. By practicing this you will learn you have the power to change the emotional state of anyone in your path.
