Happiness : the state of being happy 😊! How do we find happiness or create it for ourselves. In a world like today it is advertised that happiness comes from money 💰 have a big home 🏡 the latest in technology 📱 or the fastest car 🚗 💨! It starts with a question. Does this list of things bring true happiness? If you had to create a list of the things that would genuinely bring out the best in your emotional and mental state would these things be on your list? Is approval from others and what they think happiness should be dictating the list of things that make you happy? How can true inner happiness come from approval or a blind submission from others? It can't. If you allow other people's thoughts 💭 create your list of happiness you will never allow yourself to ever be genuinely happy because at that point you are chasing the approval of other which 100% of the time is never enough.
In order to know what your true happiness is you just begin with the main character, YOU!
So how do you get to your list? Start off by getting to learn the things that you like. In order to do that you must get to know yourself by trying new things. There's no failure in learning new things, only lessons learned. Failure only comes with not trying. If you don't try how will you know that you don't or do like activities? The more you learn who you are the better you can create a list of the things that make you happy 😊!
Visuals help to see things better. Take a moment sitting down with no connection to the world 🌎 ! This mean phone on airplane mode, tv 📺 off, just you and your list. Start jotting down the things that make you happy. For example writing 📝 , exercising 💪🏼 , 🎶 music, reading 📖, etc. Once you have your fundamentals get to the details. For example, I like reading novels by Steve Martini so reading 👓 one of his book 📚 a month will help creating more happiness in my life. Adding detail to your list will activate your thinking process and introduce the question on why these things make you happy, thus it recording it to place a reminder in your brain.
Once you have created your list take a picture on your phone 📱 or screen shot it and place it to your background. This can help as a reminder to show you all the things that make you happy if you ever need a mood shifted during a moment of frustration or motivation for a better day! Either way know that happiness is a continuous thing for a human as long as practice is pushing behind it. Just like anything else in this world we can condition our minds to create actions to build our level of happiness everyday!
